As the name indicates the front door is blue. 😉
La Porta Blu is a very old house. To a large extent it has been carefully renovated recently, which means there is new insulated windows, modern bathrooms, several bedrooms, a semi-old kitchen with a number of new appliances. The house also offers a small walled-in patio.
La Porta Blu is situated in the old hillside village of Mogorella, almost in the center of Sardina. This make it a perfect ”base camp” if you want to explore the entire island as you can reach any point, and return, within a day of driving by car. The village of Mogorella have a number of fabulous mural paintings you have to explore. Bring your camera and make personal photos including both family members and some of the motives in these amazing paintings!
If you want to take a couple of days without driving, you can find breathtaking views, walking the trails around the village. You can also visit the small local shops or marketplace or you can just get a good exercise, by walking up and down the streets of the village – there are quite big differences in altitude within the village. ⛰
And then at the end of the day, relax with some Sardinan wine in the patio in the warm evening.🍷

Sardinia is an increadibly beautiful island and from the accommodation you can discover the whole island by car. A great bonus was the lovely hostess Anna who welcomed us and made us feel right at home!

Mogorella is a cozy villaga and the location of it lets you easily get around the whole island. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the lovely hosts Anna and Mattias made us feel very welcome.
A car is a must, but with our rental car we got to see so much of the island. Sardinia will forever have a special place in our hearts.
